Dr. Fei Deng Spoke at GCR’s Asia-Pacific Conference
Dr. Fei Deng served as a panelist at the North Asia Enforcers’ Roundtable session at the GCR Live 3rd Annual Law Leader Asia-Pacific conference, held in Singapore, on March 6-7.
Dr. Deng discussed her observations concerning the growing use of economics in antitrust matters in China. The session was moderated by Susan Ning of King & Wood Mallesons. Other speakers at the session included officials from China’s State Administration for Industry and Commerce, Japan’s Fair Trade Commission, and Korea’s Fair Trade Commission, and practitioners from Linklaters, Microsoft, Yulchon LLC, and Khaitan & Co.
Edgeworth economists have a long history of involvement in antitrust and intellectual property issues in China. We have provided advice and comments to each of the three Chinese antitrust agencies and the Chinese courts during the drafting of their regulations, and have served as outside consultants to the Anti-Monopoly Bureau under the Ministry of Commerce in two recent cases–Thermo Fisher/Life Technologies and UPS/TNT Express.
