Drs. Leonard and Deng Present at the Supreme People’s Court of China


Drs. Fei Deng and Gregory Leonard were invited to present on economic analyses used in intellectual property and antitrust litigation involving standard essential patents (SEPs) to a group of judges from the Intellectual Property Tribunal at the Supreme People’s Court of China.  The workshop was held at the Supreme People’s Court on September 24, 2013.

Dr. Leonard discussed methods for calculating RAND royalty rates for SEPs based on his own experience serving as an expert witness for Cisco, Motorola Solutions, and NETGEAR in In re Innovatio IP Ventures, LLC Patent Litigation. Dr. Fei Deng served as translator.
