Fundamentals—Economics | ABA Antitrust Spring Meeting 2018

The 66th Annual ABA Antitrust Spring Meeting will take place April 11-13, 2018 in Washington, DC. The three-day conference will bring together more than 3,000 practitioners from 60 countries to learn from an esteemed group of government enforcers, private practitioners, in-house counsel, and academics.

Edgeworth Partner Dr. Laila Haider is to chair and moderate the panel, “Fundamentals—Economics.” Dr. Haider will lead a discussion of distinguished economists on basic economic principles and the value to lawyers of keeping pace with the state-of-the-art economic thinking. While basic economic precepts are indispensable to effective antitrust arguments, economists’ use of increasingly sophisticated theories and methodologies stretches the capacity of lawyers and courts to properly apply their conclusions.
