Multi-sided platform businesses, including Google, Amazon, Uber, and AirBnB, connect two or more groups of customers to “facilitate a single, simultaneous transaction.” These markets exhibit unique characteristics from one-sided markets, such as indirect network effect and multihoming, and call for appropriate analysis of competitive effects in antitrust matters.

In this webcast, Edgeworth Principal Consultant Dr. Qian Lu will present on the latest and most significant antitrust issues surrounding this industry. Dr. Lu will focus on the economics involved in analyzing market definition and market power of interconnected, multi-sided platforms.

Edgeworth’s complimentary passes are available for the first 30 registrants.
