Edgeworth Economics will sponsor and host the Antitrust Economics Workshop presented by Fordham University. The virtual workshop is held in advance of the 47th Annual Conference on International Antitrust Law and Policy, which will be held digitally by Fordham’s Competition Law Institute.

At the workshop, Edgeworth Partner Dr. George Korenko will moderate the panel, “Conflicting Decisions in Pharmaceutical Class Certification.” Dr. Korenko will be joined by panelists Jeffrey C. Bank, Partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati; Justin W. Bernick, Partner at Hogan Lovells; Danielle R. Foley, Partner at Venable; and Dr. Tram Nguyen, Principal Consultant at Edgeworth. The panel will discuss the evolving legal and economic issues relating to the existence and prevalence of uninjured class members, the ability to both identify class members and remove uninjured purchasers, and the use of averages in assessing antitrust impact. The discussion will highlight recent decisions in pharmaceutical class certification cases to illustrate these issues.
