11.21.2013

Edgeworth Economics is honored and excited to have been selected by the Washingtonian magazine as one of Washington’s “50 Great Places to Work” in the magazine’s December 2013 issue.

Edgeworth Economics employees not only receive generous benefits packages but also thrive in an upbeat and collaborative culture where professionals are given vast opportunities for self-defining career growth in addition to fun rewards like go-kart racing and winery tours. At Edgeworth, our employees are dedicated to producing high-quality work for our clients. That dedication flourishes in an environment of positive attitudes, team collaboration, casual dress codes, and just plain fun.

“In four short years, we have redefined economic consulting with high performing personnel from a variety of backgrounds who are committed to providing our clients with the highest quality economic analysis,” said Dr. John H. Johnson, CEO and President of Edgeworth Economics. “At the same time, our staff enjoys the collaborative, team-oriented approach that defines our corporate culture. Given the hard work and dedication of our employees, we create a work environment that is comfortable, engaging, fun, and casual. We demonstrate our commitment to our talent not only with generous benefits but also with a variety of activities we all love doing. Whether it's playing an office laser tag competition or enjoying an in-office Thanksgiving lunch, at Edgeworth we work hard to redefine what a great work environment means.”

The Washingtonian has chosen “50 Great Places to Work” in the Washington, DC, area every two years since 1999. This year's 50 winning workplaces were chosen on the basis of measures such as generous pay and benefits, challenging and interesting work, great work/life balance, opportunities to learn and grow, financial stability, commitment to charity and community, and the recognition and respect given to employees. Winners ranged from an organization with 19 employees to one with more than 70,000.

A panel of editors reviewed more than 200 companies and some 13,000 employee surveys, and chose this year’s winners with final determinations relying heavily on the scores given by a company's employees.
