Edgeworth Economics Announces Sophie Meadows Promoted to Partner

10.06.2022

WASHINGTON— On October 6, 2022, economic consulting firm Edgeworth Economics announced that Sophie Meadows has been promoted to partner. Ms. Meadows, based in the firm’s Washington, DC office, has been a valuable member of Edgeworth for nearly 10 years and leads project teams on large, complex cases for Fortune 500 companies facing challenges related to antitrust, class action, commercial damages, as well as labor and employment litigation. She has played a key role in pivotal cases across industries, including agricultural food products, entertainment, automotive, consumer goods, industrial chemicals, and distribution markets.

“I am very pleased to contribute further alongside this incredible group of professionals by joining the leadership team as Partner. This is particularly special for me since I have called Edgeworth Economics home for almost a decade,” said Ms. Meadows.

Dr. John H. Johnson, CEO, said, “Sophie’s talent has been evident since her first day at Edgeworth and her tremendous success at the firm is a testament to the value we place on developing our team and promoting from within. Her significant contributions during her tenure here have proven her an incredible asset to Edgeworth’s sustained success, and I am delighted that she will serve in a leadership capacity to help steer the direction of the firm in the future.”

Mr. Chuck Fields, President, added, “We are thrilled to welcome Sophie as a member of our partner group. She is an excellent economist and a trusted advisor to both our clients and colleagues—providing top-caliber analysis and insights, as well as exceptional leadership and mentoring to our team.”

Ms. Meadows received her MSc in economics from the London School of Economics and her BA in quantitative economics, summa cum laude, from Tufts University.

Since joining Edgeworth Economics in 2012 Ms. Meadows has held a number of roles with continuously increasing responsibility, most recently as a Managing Principal.

Ms. Meadows also serves her local and national communities through her dedication to pro bono work for the Appleseed Network and DC Legal Aid, and her leadership role as Co-chair of the Antitrust Forum for the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
