Expert Report on Pay Equity at a NY Community College Finds No Statistically Significant Differences in Pay Between Men and Women

In a recently resolved pay equity matter, Edgeworth Partner Dr. Nathan Woods provided expert analysis and reporting on alleged pay disparities due to gender among Associate Deans and Directors at a New York Community College.

In his expert report Dr. Woods reviewed pay and other human resource data and demonstrated there were differences in the length and type of experience among otherwise arguably comparable employees. Accounting for these differences, Dr. Woods’s analysis further showed there were no statistically significant compensation differences adverse to women in any of the pay grades at issue, whether looking at entering pay or pay changes, over a nine-year analysis period.
