Dr. George Korenko is an experienced expert in the application of economics, finance and econometrics to numerous areas of litigation and complex business matters, including:

  • transfer pricing;
  • housing finance;
  • antitrust;
  • intellectual property;
  • labor;
  • executive compensation;
  • valuation;
  • public policy and regulation; and
  • commercial damages.

In conducting transfer pricing studies, Dr. Korenko has used economic, accounting, financial, and statistical analyses to identify arm’s length prices consistent with US and foreign tax guidelines for intangible property, tangible property, and services. In other areas, he has provided written and oral expert testimony and prepared public policy studies. 

Voted Outstanding Teacher in Business and Economics by his students, Dr. Korenko prides himself on his ability to communicate complex issues in a straightforward manner. He has published on topics relating to intellectual property, transfer pricing, and public policy issues and has presented on issues in these areas to a variety of audiences. His work on intellectual property protection in developing countries has been translated into Spanish and distributed in South America, and he has presented at international conferences in Mexico and Brazil. Dr. Korenko was a lead author on a report to Congress on the possible securitization of mortgage assets by the Federal Home Loan Banks, and helped to develop a novel method for generating stress scenarios for financial institutions.

Dr. Korenko received his PhD in economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his MA and BS in economics from Virginia Tech.
